Climate Change Reality

A new report by was released today by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), a United Nations panel. It concluded that the effects of climate change include that the ice caps are melting, sea ice in the Arctic is collapsing, water supplies are coming under stress, heat waves and heavy rains are intensifying, coral reefs are dying, and fish and many other creatures are migrating toward the poles or in some cases going extinct, among other things.

  1. For what purpose do you waste your time with this? We do still read he newspapers and watch news reports….And, to what avail in the short run, since we are on the down-slope? Only the old folks here, not the 20-40
year olds reading who will live in it…We will be long dead and forgotten….

    1. Dead, yes, forgotten? Maybe not. Grandson talking with his grandson, “did you know that your great-great grandfather…?”

  2. Here is an interesting opposing comment:

“The real problem is that political activists and many leading institutions, particularly in the news media and academia, are determined to demonize any kind of skepticism — about the extent of the threat or the efficacy of proposed solutions — as illegitimate idiocy.”

  3. not to my knowledge…think it was from USA Today…

But, doesn’t it summarize your your expressed venting attitudes if any one disagrees with your beliefs?

My point is obvious so far on this POST…Only you and I involved.

BTW, did you see another of our classmates passed? Slope just got

    1. The author of your quote is J. Goldberg. Jonah Jacob Goldberg (born March 21, 1969) is an American conservative syndicated columnist and author. Goldberg is known for his contributions on politics and culture to National Review Online, of which he is editor-at-large. He is the author of Liberal Fascism (2008), which reached #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list.

  4. Just went back to USA today: title of article which quote from is “Climate Activists Uncaged” in April1 issue.

I think that quote is right on! Has nothing to do with his politics…While I don’t agree with the article, I think he has made a legitimate observation….
