Lied to, Robbed and Misled

Lied to, Robbed and Misled is the title of an article in Business Insider that reviews the book, The Great Deformation: The Corruption of Capitalism in America by David Stockman, former director of the OMB under President Reagan. Stockman was interviewed this morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. He took no prisoners. None. He is especially pissed at Fed Chairs Greenspan and Bernanke as well as Paulson.

Stockman contends that the few were enriched at the expense of the many. Gosh, where in history has this already been documented? He says that the historic low Fed rates have allowed the engorgement of Wall Street Banks on the backs of the middle class, fixed-income group.  My people! Not only that, but we saved those banks with my money!  Or rather, my potential money- the interest income that I did not receive on my savings.

Democracy? Free market capitalism? Justice for all?

Idiocratic-Plutocracy!

  1. Ahhh, my friend, maybe it’s time for Lady Liberty to unfold her flag again? Welcome back to the real world, i.e., the world of your pocket book and your family’s well being. Are you really ready to take your blinders off and
report factually as to what has been happening since 1977? The roll of the
“not a dimes worth of difference” public policy of the DEMS and the GOP?

You weren’t the Lone Ranger this morning, M_R. But, I heard Stockman
provide another name to the leaders of the financial debacle which you
have omitted to provide. That person is President’s Obama first Secretary of the Treasury, Geithner. These three bureaucrats were the architects
of the massive give-away to Wall Street. As you write ” but we saved those banks with my money! Or rather, my potential money- the interest income that I did not receive on my savings.
    “ly point out”

Did you purposely leave Geithner out of your POST so as not to taint President Obama? It was Obama who rewarded both Bernacke and Geithner handsomely.

Geithner is gone, but Bernacke is till heading the FED. In the same interview
Stockman went on to say that the 0% interest rate of the FED which is unleashing trillions of dollars into the economy will be paid for by high inflation.
That money will come from our savings accounts and lack of employment.

A couple of years ago, Andrew Ross Sorkin, a reporter of financial news at the NYT wrote a national best seller, TOO Big To Fail”, which even led to the movie of the same name. What was it $700Billion to bail Wall Street out? Where did the money go? Not to main street for credit funds to revive the economy!
Final point,is, isn’t it interesting theat we loathed Stockman as Reagans point man on the budget aand now we are praising him for his new approach and that supply side economics is worthless?

  2. This is addressed to Mr. Mud.
I encourage people who disagree to share their opinion. But, to my dismay, I have noticed some less than honest responses from certain people. They get on your blog whining about being misunderstood, all the while ripping away at us on other blogs. And if you attempt to post on said blogs, they either use the most foul language or entirely censure your comments. I enjoy donating to the small endeavors that help causes personal to the petitioner, in spite of perceived differences . Just recently you and I have been the objective of said request for financial assistance. I attempted to post a positive response to said request on their blog but found I was censored from posting. You and I (often accused of being the same person) are routinely vilified on these blogs, so I wonder why the invitation has been limited to us when Sepp, CommonSense, J.O.B. etc. are portrayed as heroes as opposed to the Satan-like persons as us. Here is your invitation:

    http://tenthgenerationpatriot.blogspot.com/

    1. NWO- I stopped visiting those blogs many months ago because I found them to be nothing more than propaganda- fed piles of nonsense. There is no ‘learning’ there; it is simply a depository of right- wing propaganda that the ‘regulars’ worship.

My advice is to stay away and contribute your thoughts and ideas here where rational people can read and debate them.

      1. I’ve thought about that all morning……And I have to agree. It’s just one more example of when the “lessor” are taken advantage of and hurt themselves.

Just one more example of why a complete education experience is necessary.

          1. A complete education experience would help one understand why Wikipedia is not a citable source. “Complete” is the key word here.

              1. I don’t really want to engage in a discussion with you as you have proven to be very untrustworthy. You say one thing here, but preach an entirely different sermon on your’s and other fringe blogs.

i.e. You posted a request to Sepp regarding guns and your daughter. In the comment section, the topic of discussion was what size gun would be best for a child. YOU were actively participating in said discussion. After at least three commenters here read your blog, you took it down and attacked a single poster. AND you whined about how you were just asking how to approach the subject with your daughter. Really? I seem to remember one of the posse recommending a rifle over a pistol because an eight year old could aim it better. You may say you can’t control the comments, but YOU were actively participating.

i.e. You have participated in posse discussions where Mr. Mud and I have been accused of being the same person, called insane, called communists, etc. And then you come here all whining claiming to be the victim.

You’re full of B.S. and impossible to hold an intelligent conversation with due to lack of the ability to acquire truthful facts. You sir are a perfect example of what is described here as a “low information voter.”

                * I apologize to Mr. Mud and other regular posters here, but I just can’t stomach it when the fringe is deceitful. I can accept a different opinion based on fact, but have no tolerance for lies.

                    1. The fact that NON doesn’t want to get into a discussion with me.
But then again, I am obviously not worthy of debate or conversation for the numerous reasons that he gave. :-)
It’s like my friend has told me a few times, there is no sense in arguing with stupidity and/or ignorance. You only get brought down to the other persons level.

            1. Being shown to have lied about his military service.

I’m surprise you don’t remember this. He hasn’t been back since that happened.

That should have shamed him off the internet. Although it does lead me to question the veracity of his internet chums.

              1. Oh, THAT! Yes, remember it well. I thought there was something new. By the way, I still get ‘hits’ from that military posting site- maybe 1 or 2 a week.

              2. Oh, he’s still around and totally denies that any of that happened.

  3. JOB wrote the following below taking me to task for a statement about the future of unionism;

“So you don’t think the lack of solidarity in the working middle class, in America, is our own doing? I say this with all the respect in the world, but I think you my friend are way off the mark. As long as we (The middle class) let politicians and corporations treat us like dirt. They will treat us like dirt, so they can all get richer. It was a movement, and still needs to be a movement. Starting with us.

The title of this POST seems to sum up the reasons why the middle-class
can not have solidarity in unionism. The anti-union groups who control
the politicians have used the old tactic of divide and conquer and basically
it was with exonomic and social conservatism myths. The M-C has been
Lied To..Cheated and Misled by the anti union groups which have muted
any concerted action by individual middle class members in the past decades.
It now maybe that technology and globalization have ended the union movement….

    1. …And if I may sprinkle this with the flavoring of politics- why is it that so many who earn $30K and $40K vote time after time for the GOP? What the hell do these workers have in common with that political party?

Of course, it is much like the Religious Right who have been used election after election by the GOP politicians who promise them everything and deliver nothing. That group has recently begun to question their allegiance with the GOP. I wonder when the Reagan Democrats will move back solidly into the Democratic Party where their interests are so much better served?

On an ancillary note, there was an article in today’s news about the crumbling infrastructure throughout this nation [as if we didn’t know]. Hello Mr. President!! That bully pulpit! Jobs for the middle class are just waiting for the work. Step up, Mr. President and call it out.

      1. ” why is it that so many who earn $30K and $40K vote time after time for the GOP?”

I wish I could answer your question with facts Muddy but it would be impossible. People can explain to me why they vote the way they vote. While I might understand the way they feel, I still don’t understand the way they vote. But this may go back to what UTF and I discussed in my recent post. Why vote for Obama? A lot of people voted for him because of the Healthcare issue. They fully support the Affordable Health Care Act. But I personally do not support it for one reason. The President lied. My taxes will go up. And I do not earn $400K a year, or what ever the magic number is.

And the only way I can answer the Middle Class/Gop question is through experience with my Sister. She is very anti-union, and it pisses me off. Per last debate with her, She was mad to find out what Union painters made. She is under the impression that they work half as hard as she does, while getting paid double the amount of money. So through some questions and answers I found out that she felt that Union painters should be brought down below where she is at. Instead of her and her fellow workers making more. This is the harsh fact that I am dealing with, and if I can change just one opinion on Unions and solidarity it would be a success.

        1. She is under the impression that they work half as hard as she does, while getting paid double the amount of money. Impression is the operative word, JOB. Apparently she lives in an isolating bubble. Where does she get her ‘information’ or is it propaganda?

          1. ” Impression is the operative word, JOB. Apparently she lives in an isolating bubble. Where does she get her ‘information’ or is it propaganda?”

Personally, I think it’s the attitude of a bitter woman who feels that she received the short stick in life. I love her to death, but she makes me so angry that I have to walk out of the house. There is no logic to her arguments. Funny thing is that my Brother-in-law was a Union roofer. Now his attitude matches her. They fall into that me and mine category.

      2. M_R wrote above, “why is it that so many who earn $30K and $40K vote time after time for the GOP? What the hell do these workers have in common with that political party?’

Didn’t you read Frank’s “What’s the Matter with Kansas”?

        1. Yes, of course I read “What’s the Matter with Kansas.”. That religious component apparently is still alive and festering in certain sections of our nation- incubating and spreading quite nicely in the red states for sure, but not unknown here in the blue northlands. Just today I read that our Aty GEneral, former senator Mike DeWine, is joining forces with 12 other GOP attorneys general to limit the ability of those using the recently SCOTUS-approved Affordable Health Care Act to get “religious exemptions” for the act in a letter to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. DeWine and the other 11 are acting on behalf of those “who say it violates their sincerely-held religious beliefs.”

Phooey! Utter nonsense because the court has already decided on the laws validity. It is interesting that DeWine of Ohio has joined with these solid Red states: Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and West Virginia. He apparently hasn’t been paying attention to the ’08 and ’12 political results.

Religion and democracy- quite the oil and water combination.

            1. No, not at all. Some keen minds in the GOP [probably Rove] figured he can use fundamentalists to his advantage in every election cycle by promising them ‘wondrous’ legislation on ‘their’ issues. Time after time, they are hoodwinked.

Here in Ohio I’m just waiting for one more election-year boondoggle to be added to the roster of election year issues for 2014 that will incite and entice fundamentalists to the pools. Governor Kasich and Sen Portman will both be on the ballot and Ohio’s GOP needs to get ‘their folks’ to the polls.

Hmm. What religious pawn will the GOP move???

    2. “It now maybe that technology and globalization have ended the union movement….”

The union movement may very well be completely dead in another five decades UTF. But it won’t be technology or globalization that ends it. It will be the me and mine attitude that most of the middle class seems to have. It’s unfortunate and I really hope something will happen to change these attitudes.

But as I said in my post as it pertains to Walmart. Anyone I have met in the last 12 or so years who shops at Walmart, admits when asked, that the only reason they shop their is to save money. NO ONE is forced to shop there. And I ask all of you who may stumble upon that post or this comment, if you shop at Walmart even occasionally. Please stop. Research American made products. Instead of Sam’s Club, go to Costco. Most of those employees are Union, and they’re all paid a living wage. It may cost us a little more money, but in the long run it will help our own kind. The American middle class :-)

      1. “…another five decades…” Get real, JOB! Unionism is on life support now, and the M-C has nothing to do with it. Your in fantasy land if you think
that unionism will make a comeback. It’s not in the cards!

        1. ” Unionism is on life support now, and the M-C has nothing to do with it.”
You are wrong my friend, but we can get more into it during my next post.

  4. This was an excellent post Muddy. I first read about this guys book about a week ago. Maybe on the Huff Post. But I wonder if Mr. Stockman has some hidden motive for the book. Let’s review what he’s done since his time in politics…………………………….

Having left government, Stockman joined the Wall St. investment bank Salomon Brothers and later became a partner of the now very successful New York–based private equity company, the Blackstone Group.
Stockman resigned Blackstone to start his own private equity fund company, Heartland Industrial Partners, L.P., based in Greenwich, Connecticut.
On March 26, 2007, federal prosecutors in Manhattan indicted Stockman in a scheme … to defraud Collins & Aikman]’s investors, banks and creditors by manipulating C&A’s reported revenues and earnings. At the same time, the Securities and Exchange Commission brought civil charges against Stockman related to actions he performed while CEO of Collins & Aikman. Stockman suffered a personal financial loss, estimated at $13 million, along with losses suffered by as many as 15,000 Collins & Aikman employees worldwide. Stockman said in a statement posted on his law company’s website that the company’s end was the consequence of an industry decline, not fraud. On January 9, 2009, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that it did not intend to prosecute Stockman for this case.

But with all that wikipedia info pasted here, I will still most likely read the book.

    1. JOB asks, “… if Mr. Stockman has some hidden motive for the book.”

People make mistakes all the time and pay the price for them…He was charged, but there is no indictment. Stockman is probably a more old establishment Republican and not the reactionary GOP/Tea Party brand
of Republicanism. I welcome the thoughts of a former insider in the Reagan Administration who recently spoke out against supply side economics to solve the present recession that we are in.

      1. I, too, welcome his [Stockman] thoughts; there is nothing more valuable for ‘study purposes’ than an insider. Maybe Stockman feels some sort of ‘resurrection’ moment through his honesty. Pardon the religious reference, but the Easter egg tree is still up.

What I don’t get, my friend, is the general ignorance of The People- the mental malaise [to butcher a GHW Bush metaphor] that has spread like a low-hanging fog across this land. People don’t get it, but then, the propaganda was so well crafted that The People didn’t know any better.

That’s one reason I gave the other day for those $30k blue collar workers worshiping at the altar of Ronald Reagan. Of course, that ‘message’ fed to them was tinged or sprinkled with racism which always is a lure.

        1. Well, it’s all about forgiveness, M_R. Certainly we can forgive errant
thoughts of a Reagan bureaucrat, if South Carolina can embrace a man
who deserted the State and abandoned his wife and children to fornicate
with a hidden lover in Argentina. The so-called “family values” State
forgiving violations of their God’s laws…..

      2. I agree UTF and Muddy. People do make mistakes and I’m all for second chances. I just get a kick out of someone who worked for private equity and holding firms writing a book entitled “The Corruption of Capitalism in America”.

As I said though, I will be looking forward to reading it.

        1. Look at it this way, JOB, we find out that the “corruption of capitalism” has been caused by New Deal and Great Society legislation… Capitalism is being prevented from acting in a natural way to provide economic well
          being. Stay Tuned…..

  5. Would someone please explain to me how defense of Israel falls under N.A.T.O.?

    ** (U.S. provided N.A.T.O.) Israeli planes bomb Gaza. **

    1. Re Israel and NATO bombers– No. Can’t do it because it makes zero sense. Not only that, but that fact surely is read with both disdain and anger in the Muslim world. Why the hell we must be part of this israeli nonsense is way-beyond any rational thinking.

    1. UGH! Wow, they continue to battle the Constitution at every turn. It is as if they OWN the Constitution. What is happening to the freedom FROM religion in the United States?!?!

  6. Would you waste your time “discussing” anything with this guy?

Hey, it’s all PROVEN fact !!!

    1. NWO- perhaps you’d like to attend one of the religious seminars that is occurring this month at the Cinema-Church on Conant St. in Maumee.

      1. April 6: “Hitchens v. Blair: Is Religion a Voice for Good?”
      2. April 13: ”Father of Lights: Who is God?”
      3. April 20: ”Twist of Faith”
      4. April 27: “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed”

#4 is a doozie! You might think that the title refers to the idiocy of Bible-thumpers but you’d be wrong. Rather, it refers to Creationists who are sobbing that their ‘beliefs’ cause them to be shunned in the Science Community. Duh!!

#3 is about priest sexual abuse at Toledo Central Catholic High School

#2 ought to be interesting. Indeed, who IS God? Surely there will be ‘experts’ from the church to educate the ignorant.

      1. M_R, please take your recorder and tape the programs…Would like to hear them…Won’t have a chance for anything like that down here in the
        heart of the Bible Belt…Sigh!

        1. My friend ASSUMES that I will attend this series. Although the series is a product of the former Toledo Blade Religion Editor, he has no control of the outcome of each presentation. What I mean is that it is supposedly an ‘open forum,’ but I am sure that the ‘home venue’ will draw many more fundamentalist members than liberal. The question is: how deeply do I want to get involved in this stuff?

I will be at the one on priest abuse because my children attended that school and some of their friends were the victims of the priest and the subsequent cover-up.

          1. Oops, assuming does lead to quick responses, lol…When I saw Cinema Church, I assumed that it was a meeting being held in the old theater in
Maumee, not that it was a church sponsored event. Since I didn’t go
to Central or any child, that was the least interesting one to me, lol…
But, I did know some one who was in the orphanage across from Central, was it St. Anthony’s? He said one of the priests would come over from
Central and take him and others back to central after it closed and have forced sex with priests and sometimes the kids had to do one another…. But, I would be more interested in the Hitchins and Creationism talks….

            1. St. Anthony’s Villa was a “troubled” children’s home on Central Avenue in the Westgate area. It later turned into a public juvenile delinquent holding center until a bunch of them escaped into Old Orchard. And that was the end of that. And have you notice the evangelicals always bash the Roman Catholics unless it promotes their cause? i.e. Contraceptives

              1. Yes, I have noticed that. Many evangelicals think the Catholic faith is of the DEvil. Of course, most things in their cockeyed world are of the Devil except of course for them and other evangelicals. Wait! I think I might have just described a severe mental illness.

      2. LOL – That is the very church my very own “Religious Fringe” (the one I’m always referencing) belongs to. She’s the one who said “Are you trying to say we’re related to apes?” Honestly, it took me a minute to realize she was serious. She also says her husband is the head of her family because he’s a male.

(And it took her three years to get married to the baby’s father.)

  7. I thought the fringe was just plain nuts when they kept asking for Obama’s birth certificate, but now I wonder if there is something we should be looking for:

  8. Fox News is saying the “liberal” news outlets are “wussifying” America by complaining about words used by the Rudger’s basketball coach. Fox doesn’t think saying “You fucking fairy; You fucking faggot” hurts anyone.

So why don’t all you sissy liberals man up and start watching Fox News?

    1. The reason that you are upset with Fox, NWO, is because your brain has a ‘sensibility’ filter which helps you to distinguish BS from reality, whereas the regular Fox viewer lacks that filter. It’s all genetics. Remember that Neanderthals are not all extinct.

        1. I don’t know why you think I would question a link you provided. Thanks for just posting the video, saves a few mouse clicks. :-)

Now as far as the little back and forth up top goes. I don’t understand what your issue with me is, but let me tell you about the problem I’m having with you. And please know that I am not being judgmental or attempting to start an argument.

You misrepresent facts. Now I would say that sometimes you are wrong, but when some facts are brought to your attention you usually follow it up with a comment regarding my intelligence or lack thereof. And you usually throw in a comment about me being a low information voter. You refuse to admit that you may have mistaken a comment, which leads me to believe that purposely misrepresent facts. For what reason you do it, I haven’t a clue. To tell you the truth, I really don’t care. But it seems completely unbecoming of someone who is proud of his education level.

Let’s take this video for instance. You stated that, “Fox News is saying the “liberal” news outlets are “wussifying” America by complaining about words used by the Rudger’s basketball coach. Fox doesn’t think saying “You fucking fairy; You fucking faggot” hurts anyone.”
First thing. The man in the video doesn’t say that the Liberal media is wussifying America. He doesn’t even mention any Liberal media outlets. He states that the firing of this basketball coach is what is wussifying America. One of the co-hosts even disagreed with him, as do I. The other guy on the panel states that the coach is a lunatic, which I agree with.
Second thing, The panelist so worried about the wussifying of America even stated himself, that the language that the coach used was against all rules and “there is no question he should never have used gay slurs”. That statement is about twenty seconds into the video. You posted the video so I’m guessing you watched it. Why would you then misrepresent what the man said? What is there to gain?

Now you stated in a comment to me above that, “I don’t really want to engage in a discussion with you as you have proven to be very untrustworthy. You say one thing here, but preach an entirely different sermon on your’s and other fringe blogs.”
First, that is entirely untrue. I never “hide” what I believe or think. I even came onto this blog and answered a few of Muddy’s questions. I never hid the way I feel about guns. I like them. I believe in my right to own them. I have never stated anything differently on other blogs. Again, you misrepresent. The reason? Only you know.

You also stated that, “i.e. You may say you can’t control the comments, but YOU were actively participating.”
First, Look how you worded this. “the topic of discussion was what size gun would be best for a child.” You left one key phrase out of that. What you should have said was, “The topic of discussion was what size gun would best for a child to shoot for the first time.” By leaving out that one key element, you are misrepresenting what I said and the question I had. You are attempting to lead readers to believe that I want to arm America’s youth. Which is 100% not true.
Second, I attacked a single commenter (I believe to be you) because he changed his name to read Adam Lanza. Whether it was you or not is not important. What is important is that this person started all this crap after the Connecticut shootings. Even though that post had nothing to do with arming children, and was published a week before the shooting. There’s that misrepresentation again.
Third, after talking to my uncle and researching the subject a little bit, guess what? The “Posse” was right. A small caliber rifle is the best option for I first time shooter.

You when on to say that, “i.e. You have participated in posse discussions where Mr. Mud and I have been accused of being the same person, called insane, called communists, etc. And then you come here all whining claiming to be the victim.”
First, I have never heard of anyone accusing you and Muddy of being the same person. I have accused you and Sepp of being relating. Only because at times, on his blog you guys debating seems more like family bickering.
Second, you are right. A lot of those guys do refer to you and Muddy as communists. And usually I don’t defend you guys. But I don’t defend them either. You don’t see me defending Sepp in this very thread, do you? The reason being. You are all adults, and you are capable of taking care of yourself.
And if it seems to you that I’m playing a victim, it’s only because you know you come here playing antagonist aggressor at times.

Then you saved the best for last, “You’re full of B.S. and impossible to hold an intelligent conversation with due to lack of the ability to acquire truthful facts. You sir are a perfect example of what is described here as a “low information voter.” I apologize to Mr. Mud and other regular posters here, but I just can’t stomach it when the fringe is deceitful. I can accept a different opinion based on fact, but have no tolerance for lies.”
The only thing I can say here is ??? It is your opinion that I am a deceitful unintelligent LIV? That’s fine, but I want you to read my own copy/paste job…………. “I agree so much more often than disagree with you. And I have such respect for you because you aren’t afraid to speak what you think (not parrot someone else). Ever think about running for office?”
Do you remember that comment on one of my posts? It was left by you. So now I ask. What was the point of lying, misrepresenting, or being deceitful with the Fox video that you posted, and the false claims you made?
Know one thing NON, I may not be of the same intellectual caliber as you. And maybe you don’t want to get into discussions with me, and that’s fine too. But I will call you out on your bulls##t. Next move is yours my man.

          1. OK, I’ll just say it: You are an idiot. And I don’t trust you. I have tried over and over again to have honest discussions with you. In fact, at times it seems I agree with you on certain issues. But then you play that “woe is me” card. Grow up! I can claim that ANY fact I have posted here is veritably true. I have refrained from engaging with you directly because it would be like Muhammad Ali having a fist fight with Twiggy. Being a bully is never a good thing.

You have mentioned similar reservations about other videos I posted here. Buy a vowel and get a clue. These comments by Fox News were made several times during several Fox News programs by several different people. And not all of the Fox News programs are available in a format that can be posted here. Before I post ANYTHING here, I am sure to verify it through several DIFFERENT sources. And I don’t post all the sources because that could be considered hijacking someone else’s blog.

The Five, a Fox News programs, contains only ONE person that Fox designates as the representation of “liberal” views. And besides doing a lousy job, he is mostly talked over, doesn’t give the most valid points and the narrator does most of the talking. Could it be that Fox News put him there so they can claim “fair and balanced” programing?

And who gives a hoot about when your Sepp post was originally written. The active discussion about arming children took place AFTER Sandy Hook. And I believe the name “Adam Lambert” was not used to hide an identity, but to make a point. You stated you were going to give the I.P. information to your wife to take to the I.T. people at her place of public employment. What is your reason for doing that? I read the comments and that one was the only sane one. (It was to make the point that spreading guns around can only lead to bad things.) I’ll admit, it does make me nervous you having access to that type of information from this blog.

Fox News is all over with interviews with N.R.A. officials. A couple of hot spots, North Korea and Iran, seem to be attributed to the limitation of arms. Why not follow the N.R.A.’s suggestion and let everybody have tools of killing? I mean, they claim that will make the World/United States safer. And it was cold in February, so Climate Change is just one big lie. Gay marriage will lead to incest and polygamy. ALL are Fox News positions.

Here are a couple of websites that expose the lying going on at Fox News:
            http://foxnewslies.net/
            http://mediamatters.org/
And if you don’t want to believe them, get off your ass and do your own research before attacking anyone else.

I abhor “flaming” on the blogs of others and I hope Mr. Mud (and other readers) will excuse me this one time.

            * Oh, I just reread your comment again and noticed something. After you removed your Sepp blog entry, you claimed you were only asking how to EXPLAIN gun safety to your daughter. That seems to have morphed into “The topic of discussion was what size gun would best for a child to shoot for the first time.” Is eight years old really an appropriate age to teach a child to shoot a gun? I guess it might be if you lived in Appalachia during the 1700’s. That’s the trouble with lying; it gets damn hard to keep those fibs straight after a while.

  9. “You stated you were going to give the I.P. information to your wife to take to the I.T. people at her place of public employment. What is your reason for doing that? ”
Installing certain malware and viruses on someone’s computer is a crime. That’s what the Cook County Computer Crime Division does. Investigate crimes committed over the internet. The point would be to find a criminal.

“And not all of the Fox News programs are available in a format that can be posted here. Before I post ANYTHING here, I am sure to verify it through several DIFFERENT sources. And I don’t post all the sources because that could be considered hijacking someone else’s blog.”
I smell bulls##t. So you’re asked to explain a simple discrepancy regarding a video that YOU posted, and comments that YOU made. And this is what you got? You don’t want to post all your sources because you don’t want to hijack this blog? But you don’t mind hijacking a blog to lie about post’s published four or five months ago? LI_R. I’d like to buy an A.
You do know that you sound like the demographic that Fox News is after, right?

Well NON, Since there isn’t much more to discuss, or respond to regarding that lovely retort, I will just end with this. You have my sympathies. You obviously have some underlying anger towards me. Maybe due to insecurities, mental or other. Maybe due to the fact that I call you out on your bulls##t. Either way, it is sad that a man of your intellect resorts to calling people idiots. I would expect more from you. But then again, I guess I wouldn’t.

“So do yourselves a favor Liberal detractors. Leave Sen. Portman be.”
      – Loved your last post about not understanding why so many people were mad at Ohio Senator Portman. I mean after all, he finally came around to gay equality so why aren’t people praising him instead of saying bad things about him.

That reminded me of my cousin. He has never liked black people. He got himself elected into office and made sure those people had a hard time voting. He also made damn sure no laws were passed to insure they had the same rights as normal people. And he fully supported his friends who may have none some naughty things to the darkies. He didn’t mind limiting their civil rights because even the Bible talks of slaves being less; hell, even our very own Constitution didn’t count women at all and black men were only 3/5 of a person. Then don’t ya know his sister went out and married one of them. Now that he had to get to know one personally he don’t think they’re all bad. And it only took him until 2013 to figure it out when it affected him personally.

“Installing certain malware and viruses on someone’s computer is a crime. ”
      – Which one of your posse brothers came up with that one? Last I knew you couldn’t get past the firewall on most computer systems. To infect a computer, the computer operator has to run an infected program on said computer. Of course the brain trust you rely on probably doesn’t know that blogs, and blog comments, do NOT reside on your computer, but on the servers of your host provider. Translation is that you can’t infect a computer through blog comments. –

“The “Posse” was right. A small caliber rifle is the best option for I first time shooter.”
      – I’m confused, what are you saying the topic of the post was again? –

“But then I remembered something my buddy EOK told me. I then sat back for a moment, took a breath, then I smiled and laughed. Here’s what I laughed at, and keep in mind that a couple of the bloggers refer to Conservatives as the “Reactionary right” and “Posse”.”
      – Just who are the couple of bloggers you are referring? –

      J.O.B. 04/07/13
“You misrepresent facts. Now I would say that sometimes you are wrong, but when some facts are brought to your attention you usually follow it up with a comment regarding my intelligence or lack thereof.”
      – Uh no, attacking the messenger would be a posse tactic. Don’t like being called out on a fib by pesky facts, so let’s attack the source. –

*** I posted the examples above to showcase the aptitude of J.O.B. At least Sepp was smart enough to erase his past entries so nobody could get the actual quote and date of quote when he was outed for lying. I stopped reading the posse blogs because they were always flinging crap and attacking me personally. Seems he has brought that to this blog.

*** Sorry Mr. Mud for encouraging this behavior. It’s like the old saying “You’re wasting your time wrestling with a pig. You just get covered in sh** and the pig enjoys it.” Goodbye everyone; if I wanted to argue with a moron there are other blogs for that and you don’t get embarrassed in front of your peers.

      1. “- Loved your last post about not understanding why so many people were mad at Ohio Senator Portman. I mean after all, he finally came around to gay equality so why aren’t people praising him instead of saying bad things about him.”
Thank you. However I wouldn’t necessarily say that the Senator deserves praise. But he should be given credit for what most humans do. He evolved his thinking. Instead of being slammed for it by the likes of Bill Maher, he should be applauded. He did something that a lot of religious people don’t. He chose his Son over his religion. Same thing that your Cousin did, he evolved his thinking, and he is probably a better man for it. Thanks for sharing that personal story by the way. Quite nice when we eliminate name calling and combativeness. Don’t you think.

None of my “Posse” brothers said anything. It was the I.T. guy at my Wife’s work that told me how to go about this. To tell you the truth, I’ll trust him more than you regarding the subject. But if I have a tax question, I’ll let you know. BTW- A blog administrators e-mail address is linked to their blog. Just saying.

“- I’m confused, what are you saying the topic of the post was again? ”
Was and still is, What is the most appropriate gun for an eight year old to shoot for the first time. You may believe one thing when it comes to children and guns. But I believe if guns are in the home (which they are in mine) any child in the home should at some point be introduced. They need to know what it is, the devastation the weapon can cause, and the proper respect for said weapon. I even told Muddy, that I was hoping that my Daughter would fire a gun, and it would scare the s##t out of her. To the point where she would never want to pick one up. I also told him I decided to wait until she was at least 12 or 14. You must have missed that comment thread.

“- Just who are the couple of bloggers you are referring? -”
Muddy, Dottie, and of course you. Muddy and Dottie get slack though. You lead them to a post and fed them your own thoughts. Dottie said he just did a quick take, and really had nothing ill to say about it. Muddy actually had some very sincere questions about it and we had quite a polite and informative discussion about the subject. You on the other hand still think, and are still trying to get other people to believe, that I’m trying to create a small army of 8 year old kids. Unfortunately, you are still wrong in regards to my intent.

“- Uh no, attacking the messenger would be a posse tactic. Don’t like being called out on a fib by pesky facts, so let’s attack the source.”
        Statement doesn’t deserve a response.

LOLOL, My sympathies run even deeper now. I really am sorry for whatever happened to you that makes you the way that you are.
BTW; Your claim that you stopped reading the “Posse” blogs is bulls##t. Try not to forget that earlier in this thread, you provided a link to a post that you read on Tenth’s blog. So did you mean that you stopped visiting Conservative blogs two days ago?

“*** Sorry Mr. Mud for encouraging this behavior. It’s like the old saying “You’re wasting your time wrestling with a pig. You just get covered in sh** and the pig enjoys it.” Goodbye everyone; if I wanted to argue with a moron there are other blogs for that and you don’t get embarrassed in front of your peers.”
The only reason for you to be embarrassed is that you know you got caught. But what makes it worse, is that you got busted out by someone that you perceive to be intellectually inferior.
I don’t get it. I didn’t come over here to argue with anyone. And to be honest, I was hoping to get you quite involved in the Union posts because of your past experiences. But you have got to put some of this s##t to rest. I think I’m the youngest contributor here, but you’re acting like a High School freshman. Let me sum it up to you this way. Dude, I’m not trying to steal your friends, I just want to play baseball too.
So before I post this comment, I want you to know one thing. I consider this thread done. If you want to just move on in a friendly manner, I’m all for it. If you want to leave and never come back, I guess that’s your option. I wouldn’t like to see it, but I’m not going to beg either. But please keep a few things in mind.
1-If you engage me, I will debate and discuss in a friendly and respectful manner.
2- If you attack me, I will counter with vigor.
3- And if you start the childish name calling, you’re on your own. Just know that you only look like a fool. A childish uneducated fool at that. Sort of like the “posse members” you speak of, don’t you think?
I truly hope you take option 1. Enjoy the rest of your day.
